The Floor is Lava visit today

We were lucky to have some presenters from the Auckland Museum come to share some ideas about the volcanoes in our backyard, here in Tamaki Makaurau.

We watched some video clips, enjoyed sorting the different types of rock produced by volcanoes, and thought about how we would respond in an emergency in the unlikely event of a volcano eruption.

We enjoyed another busy day here in Room 8. Make sure you discuss with your whanau about your toolkit presentation, and show them some examples.

Remember your swimming togs next week - we are swimming every day next week, including the Kauri Big Splash event on Tuesday.

Haere ra!

  1. Hi Room 8,
My name is Krystal and I attend St Pius X School. You are lucky to have presenters, from the Auckland Museum. Maybe you could add what happened and add an introduction. Overall great blog!

  2. Thanks Krystal, we were very lucky to have them come to visit. Have you had any guests or presenters come to your school recently? Next time, I will add some more supporting detail to help our readers better understand what happened during the session. Thank you, and hope you have a great last week of term!
